Your life is a breath,
In a living song thousands of years in creation.
Will you sing your verse with love,
Or allow its ancient melody to fall silent?
I was moved to put this poster together by my deep love for reawakening the music, rhythms, phrases, and other cultural expressions of my ancestral people. We really are just one breath in this ancient song that is still being sung by the land. In my time moving in ancestral recovery, I’ve received songs that are truly powerful and healing. It’s an amazing gift I wish for all of our people, though I know so many will never make it down this path. I’m also grateful for our Indigenous family that has shared the cultural process for their people to get songs. I believe these understandings and stories have provided me with a set of tools and perspectives that allow for my own songs to return. Ahaire on!
